“Interfaces” is an international, interdisciplinary project focused on creating new models and practices for audience development in contemporary music in Europe. Interfaces aims to inspire more people of all ages and demographics to experience contemporary music and sound art and learn to incorporate Europe’s musical legacy into newly found idioms and contexts.

With the support of the Creative Europe Program, “Interfaces” unites 9 diverse partners from 8 European countries with the main objective of engaging new audiences of all ages and potential audience segments that, for a variety of demographic or cultural reasons, have not yet been exposed to the music of our time. The Interfaces partners want more people of all ages and demographics to experience and be inspired by contemporary music and sound art. To achieve this, the network will carry out a very wide range of actions. Examples include:

  • New performance formats in innovative spaces and across artistic disciplines, using new media for creation and dissemination;
  • Educational activities, including physical outreach and innovative online applications;
  • Research and conferences regarding audience drivers and
  • Artist residencies.

The project will create a large amount of original work that will be presented to the public in live events or through the website: www.Interfacesnetwork.eu
