Kristina Warren is a composer, improviser, and researcher based in Providence [US]. Warren’s multimodal practice centers individual and collective acts of listening and making noise. Her work has been programmed at events such as the Guthman Musical Instrument Competition [US], Ephémère [NL], Espace des arts sans frontières [FR], TENOR [CA, ES], and performed by ensembles including Chartreuse, Dither, JACK Quartet, and Sō Percussion. Currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Electronic Music & Multimedia at Brown University, Warren holds a PhD in Composition & Computer Technologies (University of Virginia, 2017) and a BA in Music Composition (Duke University, 2011).
